Distance Learning

Distance Learning is a term used to refer to courses that are studied without the need to be physically present in a classroom, where students receive instruction through online classes, video recordings, video conferencing, or any other visual technology medium. Distance Learning degrees are available at all academic levels; undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate.

Distance learning has made education more accessible to larger groups of people. It is a convenient way to obtain work experience while completing college or other vocational training. Many organizations, such as the military, large corporations, and government agencies rely on distance education to train service members and employees.

Distance learning has existed for centuries through traditional mail and other creative means, but online education is still a relatively new field. However, even though the technology is different, the educational mission and academic standards are the same as in traditional education: providing quality education.
