UPM-MTDC CEO Talk

A chief executive officer (CEO) is the highest ranking executive in a company, whose primary responsibilities include making major corporate decisions, managing the overall operations and resources of a company, acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors (the board) and corporate operations and being the public face of the company.

UPM-MTDC CEO Talk, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through its School of Graduate Studies, collaborates with Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (MTDC) organise it specifically for postgraduate students in UPM to obtain the knowledge and experience of successful young entrepreneurs.

The objectives of the event are: to foster closer relationships between MTDC and the host universities; to support complementary efforts by the host universities in recognising, rewarding and grooming students who are high achievers; to offer additional value to the host universities towards encouraging and rewarding innovative commercial able and “market led” ideas and products; to reflect MTDC’s role as an enabler for innovative, technology-related ideas and as the key commercialisation arm of the government; to increase recognition and familiarity by the university communities on the roles and functions of MTDC in promoting innovation and commercialisation of ideas in the country; and to identify or possibly hand-pick exceptionally talented candidates to be groomed as future entrepreneurs in MTDC programmes.

It also involves Q & A session between entrepreneurs and students for motivational purposes.
