Medical Education is a field that equips graduates with the knowledge and skills to produce quality health professions programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in terms of teaching and learning methods, assessment, research and continuous quality improvement. Trained and skilled Medical Educationists will contribute expertise in the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of medical programs or other health professions programs such as pharmacy, nursing and others. Medical Education includes a variety of research topics, including student selection into programs, best practices and current trends in teaching and student assessment, student learning methods, curriculum design and pedagogy of medical and health science programs, social and cultural influences on medical education, and the formation of professional identity of medical practitioners and others.
