June 20^th ,2023, Serdang - The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) received delegates from the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Indonesia as a part of their benchmarking initiatives. The delegates were led by the Dean of Graduate School (GS), Professor Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, accompanied by the Deputy Dean; Professor Agus Buono, and the Director of Strategic Studies and Academic Reputation; Professor Anugara Jayanegara.

At SGS, the delegates were welcomed by the Deputy Dean of SGS; (Academic, Curriculum and Data), Prof. Ts. Dr. Zuriati Ahmad Zulkarnain, fellow Deputy Deans as well as the present officers of SGS. The session was held at Meeting Room 1 (BM1), SGS from 10.00 am till 12.00 p.m. This was apparently the first visit made by UPLB Graduate School to SGS, UPM. After the welcoming remarks by both parties, the session was then followed by the briefing by Prof. Ts. Dr. Zuriati regarding SGS’s core functions as well as services offered for our postgraduates. During the session, there were several topics been discussed including the promotional efforts of the postgraduate programmes, admission and registration procedures, management of students’ records and digitalization initiatives, student/faculty/alumni affairs, and the scholarship administrations. The session also highlighted the potential collaboration between the two universities, particularly in the joint-research activities, establishment of dual/joint degree programmes, and student exchange programmes.

The event ended with the exchange of souvenirs by both Universities and a photography session.
