August 15^th, 2023, Serdang – The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) through its Putra Sarjana seminar has organized a monthly session with invited speakers for August 2023. The seminar, which focused on thesis writing techniques, postgraduate study processes, self-worth, and effective communication, was held free of charge for UPM postgraduate students.

The session for August was conducted online with Dr. Thavamaran Kanesan, Chief Editor of Educational Consultant of Proofreading by a UK PhD. The sharing session titled "After Literature Review Chapter, how to write Review Journal: Can I use AI?" was attended by 209 postgraduate students through the Zoom Meetings application. Dr. Thava explained the most effective methods for finding reference materials (literature) to use during the writing of an academic thesis. His explanation regarding the integration of AI in information retrieval piqued the interest and attention of 186 students, who remained actively engaged throughout the session. The 2-hour sharing session was concluded with a photography session and a participant Q&A.
