December 3^rd 2023, SKUDAI - The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), in an effort to enhance its services to students, conducted a benchmarking visit to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai campus, Johor Bahru. The visit was specifically aimed at the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) at UTM, which manages postgraduate student affairs on that campus.

The SGS UPM delegation consisted of 2 Deputy Deans and 5 officers overseeing portfolios such as admissions, academics, curriculum, data, financial aid, and institutional relations. The team was warmly welcomed by the SGS UTM officers and taken to a meeting room for a briefing session.

The visit provided valuable insights to SGS UPM regarding the structure of postgraduate student management, the roles of appointed officers, and the methods/systems used by UTM in handling their students. The 3-hour session included a briefing by SGS UTM, an introduction session by SGS UPM, and concluded with a group photo session with all present officers.

It is hoped that SGS UPM's efforts to enhance the quality of postgraduate student services will have a significant impact on UPM students.
