November 1^st 2023, SERDANG - The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) has undertaken a collaborative effort to organize the old file room located in the Centralized Operations Management Finance Division (BPOB) office. Continuous efforts to review the old student files, in line with the University File and Record Management Guide (National Archives Act 2003 (Act 629) and Public Service Circular Number 5 of 2007), have been carried out throughout the year according to the Unit. The duty schedule has been prepared and monitored by the General Office of the SGS Dean's Office, serving as one of the indicators of systematic departmental record management.

SGS staff moved to BPOP around 9:30 AM to retrieve the scanned old student files for disposal. The work took almost 3 hours (morning and afternoon sessions) to complete before the file space was tidied up for the last time.

May these small but consistent efforts further enhance the existing commitment of the SGS community in maintaining a conducive work environment and adopting a more systematic approach to departmental record management.
