
August 20th 2024, Serdang – The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), through the Putra Sarjana Learning Support Program, organized a seminar on Improvising Negotiation Skills conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Nor Azura Adharuddin online using Zoom Meeting platform. The two-hour seminar was part of the Putra Sarjana SPS Seminar Series, which provides various information, tips, and skills to UPM postgraduate students. The positive response from students and participation from students outside the university reflected the significance of the topic.
The main objective of the seminar is to enhance participants' ability to think on their feet, adapt to changing situations, and respond creatively to challenges in negotiation scenarios. Its also help participants develop and refine their negotiation skills by learning and practicing improvisational techniques that enhance flexibility, creativity, and effective communication. Participants will gain practical skills to think on their feet and negotiate more effectively in dynamic situations and will leave the seminar with a set of practical tools and techniques that they can immediately apply in their negotiations to be more adaptive, creative, and effective.
Associate Professor Dr. Nor Azura Adharuddin has shared her knowledge through a simple PowerPoint presentation with few proposal document as an examples, which captured the students’ attention more than usual. An active Q&A session took place proving the seminar was indeed an interactive and successful one. After a heated session of clarifications, the talk came to an end at 12.00 noon.
