Benchmarking Visit from Graduate Studies Centre of Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS) to School of Graduate Studies of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)

December 18th, 2024 – The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), was honored to host a benchmarking visit from the Graduate Studies Centre of Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS). The delegation, led by Dr. Maad Ahmad, Deputy Director of PPS UIS, was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Zalilah Mohd Shariff, Dean of SPS UPM, along with Prof. Ts. Dr. Zuriati Ahmad Zukarnain, Deputy Dean (Academic, Curriculum, and Data), Prof. Dr. Rusmawati Said, Deputy Dean (Thesis, Student Affairs, and Media), and SGS UPM officers.

The visit provided valuable insights into various aspects of graduate student management, including administrative structures, the roles of appointed officers, and the methods and systems employed by PPS UIS in handling postgraduate students. Prof. Dr. Zalilah shared an overview of UPM’s achievements, particularly within the School of Graduate Studies, before inviting the UTM delegation to present their perspectives. The three-hour session included briefings, an introductory session, and a tour of student facilities within the SPS building, accompanied by the attending officers.

SPS UPM expresses its sincere appreciation for this meaningful visit. We look forward to further collaboration and to welcoming the PPS UIS delegation again in the future.
