Oath-Taking Ceremony and Briefing For New Postgraduate Students First Semester 2024/2025

October 16th,2024, Serdang - The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) has organised the Oath Taking Ceremony and Briefing for New Postgraduates of First Semester of 2024/2025 at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Arts and Cultural Centre (PKKSSAAS). A total of more than 700 newly registered postgraduates have attended the ceremony that was officiated by the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia, YBhg. Dato' Profesor Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah. The new batch of students are made up of students form over 30 countries, worldwide.

  

  

The symbolic oath recital was led by the President of the Students Representative Council ,2024/2025 session, Umairah Farisah Ahmad Yuzri. The pledge is a symbol of promise made by the new postgraduates to the University management in adhering to the enforced law and regulations. The ceremony was then continued with the briefing of major departments that are directly involved in postgraduates’ management such as SGS, Bursar, Infocomm Development Centre (iDEC), University Safety Division (APSEC), Sultan Abdul Samad Library, Putra International Office (iPUTRA) and Student Affairs Division (BHEP). Students got to interact with the speakers at the end of every slot through the Q&A session.

Six (6) departments had their promotion booth running in the efforts to promote their existing services for postgraduates. Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS), Centre for the Advancement of Language Competence (CALC), Putra International Office (iPUTRA), Sultan Abdul Samad Library, RHB Bank and SGS itself had managed their respective booths, up till 4 pm.

  

YBhg. Dato' Profesor Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia has expressed the University’s vision in producing quality postgraduates that will be later absorbed into the academic world for their outstanding abilities with exceptional research skills. The programme came to an end around 4 pm with the promotional booths and document verification for the new postgraduate students.
