Oath Taking Ceremony and Briefing for New Postgraduates of Second Semester and Third Trimester of 2022/2023 Session

 
 

March 14th,2023, Serdang - The School of Graduate Studies (SGS) has organised the Oath Taking Ceremony and Briefing for New Postgraduates Of Second Semester And Third Trimester Of 2022/2023 Session at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Arts and Cultural Centre (PKKSSAAS). A total of 633 newly registered postgraduates have attended the ceremony that was officiated by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics and International), Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail. The new batch of students are made up of students form over 30 countries, worldwide.

The symbolic oath recital was led by the President of the Students Representative Council ,2021/2022 session, Mohammad Haziq Zikri Bin Zainuri. The pledge is a symbol of promise made by the new postgraduates to the University management in adhering to the enforced law and regulations. The ceremony was then continued with the briefing of major departments that are directly involved in postgraduates’ management such as SGS, Bursar, University Health Centre (PKU), University Safety Division (BKU), International Office (iPUTRA), and Infocomm Development Centre (iDEC). Students got to interact with the speakers at the end of every slot through the Q&A session.

Four (4) departments had their promotion booth running in the efforts to promote their existing services for postgraduates. Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS), Centre for the Advancement of Language Competence (CALC), Housing and Placement Division (BPP) and SGS itself had managed their respective booths, up till 2 p.m.

The DVC has expressed the University’s vision in producing quality postgraduates that will be later absorbed into the academic world for their outstanding abilities with exceptional research skills. The programme came to an end around 2.30 p.m with the promotional booths and document verification for the new postgraduates.
