April 6, 2026 – The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), successfully organised the SGS Quality and Innovation Day 2025/2026 as a recognition initiative to celebrate continuous quality improvement efforts, innovative achievements, and the commitment of SGS staff in strengthening organisational excellence.
Held at the Putra Sarjana Room, the programme commenced at 9.00 a.m. and was attended by all SGS staff, including members of the SGS management team. The celebration served as an important platform to acknowledge the dedication, creativity, and contributions of staff in implementing improvements towards enhancing work processes and service delivery.
In addition to celebrating the achievements of SGS staff, the event also honoured two staff members who will be embarking on new professional journeys. The individuals recognised were Ms. Pavithra Panir Selvam, Assistant Registrar from the Student Development Unit, who will be continuing her service at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UPM, and Ms. Siti Nurhasni Ramli from the Thesis Unit, who will be transferring to the UPM Security Division. The SGS community expressed its highest appreciation for their valuable contributions, dedication, and commitment throughout their service at SGS.
The SGS Quality and Innovation Day also served as a platform to promote a culture of innovation by recognising initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality in workplace practices. The event not only celebrated outstanding achievements but also encouraged staff to continue generating creative ideas and implementing innovative approaches towards improving organisational performance.
