The University of Leeds, United Kingdom Initiates Visit to School of Graduate Studies UPM for Collaboration

January 7th, 2025 – The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), warmly welcomed a delegation from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, led by Prof. Dr. Yun Yun Gong, Professor in Food Safety and Global Health. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Zalilah Mohd Shariff, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nitty Hirawaty Kamarulzaman, Deputy Dean (Admission, Institutional Relations, and Financial Aid), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chin Yit Siew from the Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Ms. Nur Nadjla Ahmad Razei, Assistant Registrar of SGS UPM, and Mrs. Nur Nadiah Abdul Rahim, Executive Officer of SGS UPM.

The visit focused on fostering collaboration in postgraduate education, research, and academic development programs. Both institutions exchanged insights on best practices in graduate studies, discussing strategies to enhance student mobility, research attachments, and joint supervision (non-ICP).

The fruitful discussions concluded with a photo session, marking the beginning of a promising partnership between two leading institutions committed to academic excellence and the advancement of postgraduate education.
