VISIT FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA
Serdang, 20 June 2014: The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), received a visit from Professor Talal Yusaf of the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Australia, here, today. The meeting was held to discuss procedures for student intake under the UPM-USQ Dual PhD programme. The meeting also discussed strategies to promote the collaborative programme between the two universities.
At the meeting, Professor Talal Yusaf asserted that USQ, as UPM’s academic partner, is fully committed to promoting the programme. “USQ is offering a scholarship in the form of fee exemption for students who register at USW under the programme,” he said. “ We will also give full support to promotional activities planned by UPM,” he elaborated.
The Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, Professor Bujang Kim Huat, confirmed that promotional activities are being planned by UPM to promote the programme further. “We are very confident that the programme will attract many more excellent students to come to UPM,” he said.
