Putra Graduate On Time (GOT), an offshoot of the Putra Sarjana Programme, is initiated by the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Its purpose is to create awareness among students and academics the importance of graduating within an achievable time period. The programme also aims to support postgraduate students’ research activities through a systematic learning programme.
GOT for Masters students is within 4 semesters of study, and 7 or 8 semesters for PhD students. Thus, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through its School of Graduate Studies (SGS) invites students to attend the following seminar:
Speaker 1: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ng Siew ImmThesis writing is the most essential skill a PhD student must acquire and deliver. This is because thesis is the only material the examiners use in deciding whether the substance in the thesis is meeting the requirement of a Ph.D. degree, and subsequently rate the thesis as “Passâ€, “Resubmissionâ€, or the most horrid “failâ€. Thus, it is very crucial that the thesis is written in a systematic, cohesive, easy-to-follow and impressive manner. Dr. Ng Siew Imm and Dr Tee Keng Kok will share with audience thesis writing tips, thesis writing flow and common thesis subtitles.
