2	Cadangan Penambahbaikan Tempoh Pembetulan Tesis Selepas Peperiksaan Akhir (Viva Voce)	Minit JKPSU 453.18 pada 6 Ogos  2020	Minit Senat 679.09 pada 13 Ogos 2020	-	-	-	Senat bersetuju meluluskan cadangan penambahbaikan tempoh pembetulan tesis selepas peperiksaan akhir (viva voce) sepertimana berikut:  (i)tempoh pembetulan bagi pindaan kecil adalah tiga (3) bulan manakala bagi pindaan besar adalah enam (6) bulan; (ii)pelajar tidak dibenarkan untuk membuat pelanjutan selepas dari tempoh maksimum tersebut; dan (iii)kegagalan pelajar mengemukakan pembetulan tesis dalam tempoh ditetapkan akan mengakibatkan status ‘Gagal dan Diberhentikan’. 3	Pandangan Undang-Undang Mengenai Penggunaan Bahasa Inggeris dalam Pembelajaran dan Penulisan Tesis Pelajar Pascasiswazah	-	Minit Senat 672.02 (1) (C) pada 13 Ogos 2020	-	-	-	Senat bersetuju membatalkan ketetapan Senat pada Minit 662.02 dan 665.27(c) mengenai penulisan tesis dalam Bahasa Inggeris bagi pelajar program siswazah dan keperluan untuk memohon kebenaran Senat sekiranya penulisan tesis hendak dibuat dalam Bahasa Melayu, setakat mana ianya bertentangan dengan Perlembagaan Persekutuan, Akta Bahasa Kebangsaan 1963/67 (Akta 32), Akta Pendidikan 1996 (Akta 550), dan Dasar Pendidikan Kebangsaan. 5	Cadangan Pindaan Perkara 20, 23 dan 28 dalam Kaedah Universiti Putra Malaysia (Pengajian Siswazah) Semakan 2003 (Semakan 2015-2016) - Kertas Senat Bil. 684/16	Minit JKPSU 457 pada 1 Disember 2020	Minit Senat 684.18 pada 10 Disember 2020	-	-	-	Rujuk Lampiran 13 [Minit Senat 684.18(d)]   General Requirements (ii)The maximum number of credits student can register per semester is twenty (20) credits. Registration of any additional credits requires the Dean’s approval.   Late Registration (a)Late registration for continuing students is permitted up to two (2) weeks for programme by coursework and seven (7) weeks for programme by research after the commencement of a semester upon payment of a late registration fee of RM100. (b)Students registered in programme by research can only register for courses up to two (2) weeks and Master or Doctoral Research (SPS5999/6999) /Master or Doctoral Seminar (SPS5903/6903) up to seven (7) weeks of semester.   Conversion from Masters to Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programme (iii)have published or show proof of acceptance of an article in at least Scopus Journal based on research done during candidacy   Study Status Categories(Probation) (c)if he/she fails CE for the first time.   (iii) Termination of Candidature (e)fails to take CE within 4 semesters for full time student and 6 semesters for part time student (f)fails compulsory / elective courses for two (2) times (g)fails thrice in the Postgraduate Intensive English 2 (PIE2); (i)fails the thesis examination;   Provisional A student with Provisional Admission due to non-fulfilment of language requirements [Rule 14 (vii)] shall be placed under the Provisional status until he/she has passed the PIE2.   Suspended The candidature of a student shall be suspended for any one of the following reasons: (i)fails the PIE2 twice. He/She is allowed to repeat PIE2 in the following semester but barred from registering any other courses. (ii)submission / confirmation of academic certificate is not made during the first year of study (2 semesters) (iii)does not complete and pass the Research Proposal Seminar before the third semester of study (iv)has not nominated a supervisory committee before the second semester of study (v)does not complete and pass the Research Method before the third semester of study   Dropped The candidature of a student shall be dropped for any one of the following reasons: (i)fails to register before the 3rd week (programme by coursework) and 8th week (programme by research) of semester (ii)fails to pay semester fees before the 3rd week (programme by coursework) and 8th week (programme by research) of semester.
