The research program in economics aims at providing students with structured training in economic theory and quantitative methods designed to help them develop their professional capabilities. Our flexible and innovative approach prepares students with skills in academic research as well as stimulating careers as economist, analyst and other positions in government, research institutes and business enterprises. The program prepares students with knowledge and research capability in one of the five areas of specialization; Financial Economics, Development Economics, Industrial Economics, International Economics, and Resource and Environmental Economics.
