The field encompassess multidisplinary studies in aquatic animal medicine, which includes fish, crustacean, amphibian of economic importance and marine mammals. The multifacet study approach covers various aquatic systems and aquaculture management, ecology and habitat of aquatic animal and relationship between animals, pathogens and environment in disease outbreaks. Other studies that can be conducted include development of new and innovative sustainable health management practices, diagnostic techniques, disease treatment and prevention of disease outbreak in aquaculture.
