This field encompasses issues and challenges in mass communication at national and international levels. The field also focuses on current research in mass communication, laws and policy, market competition, media contents, media ownership and media influence and effect. Emphasis is also given to the direction and flow of international media content, international mass communication systems, the main players of international media, communication media convergence and the mass media, and global peace.
