This field focuses on diseases and their aetiological agents in poultry, exotic and wild birds. It covers the molecular mechanism,epidemiology, pathogenesis, pathology, treatment responses and development of diagnostic kits and vaccines for the choosen disease. This field also involves hands-on training to develop specialised skills and expertise in avian medicine, particularly diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases especially in the field of exotic and wild birds.
