This field focuses on activities related to obstetrics and infertility, which are common in medical practice. Students need to understand and acquire knowledge of estrus cycle, and skills in pregnancy diagnosis, collection and evaluation of semen and artificial insemination to conduct research in this area. Particular emphasis is given to reproductive management program. Branch of cytogenetics is related to the relationship between inheritance and chromosome structure and function. Research on reproductive problems and birth defects due to chromosome abnormalities uses blood and tissue cultures to determine normal morphology and diploid number of chromosomes. The strength of the research group is in assisted reproductive biotechnologies in domestic and wildlife animals as well as diseases related to veterinary reproduction.
