POSTGRADUATE INTENSIVE ENGLISH 1 (PIE 1)

Applicants who obtained one of the following English Language test scores can register for PIE 1: -

• 154-161for the Cambridge Linguaskill at CALC UPM; or
• 45-50 and below for TOEFL Internet-based; or
• Band 5.0 for IELTS (Academic Training); or
• Band 3 (score 123 - 163)for MUET; or
• 47 - 50 and below the overall score for PTE Academic; or
• Level 105& 106 of CIEP at ELS Language Centre; or
• Level 106 & 107 of Placement Test result at ELS Language Centre

Classes:

Classes are held between 10 AM-1 PM / 2 PM-5 PM**. Students must attend classes 4 times a week. Attendance is compulsory for all PIE classes.

Evaluation:

Course work – 70%

Examination – 30%

Students are required to complete various assignments for all courses. Quizzes will be administered regularly to keep track of student progress.
