WILDLIFE ECOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT

This field is important because wildlife management is the main component in the conservation and sustainable management of forest biodiversity. Forest ecosystem management will be affected if the habitat requirements and interdependency of wildlife are not taken into consideration in the forest management plan.  These include changes in the microclimate and microhabitat. Related Sub-fields are: In-situ and ex-situ Wildlife Management Techniques, Relationships of Wildlife and Habitats, Breeding and Survivorship, Behaviours, Diseases, Diversity, Population Dynamics, Ecological Interactions, Human-Wildlife Conflicts, Wildlife Sampling Techniques.
