Registration Guidelines for New Postgraduate Students (Local)

ONLINE REGISTRATION  GUIDELINE

NEW POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS (LOCAL)

SECOND SEMESTER 2025/2026

 

 

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ADMISSION TO UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA!

In the next few weeks, registration for the new students will open. We are excited that you will be part of UPM’s community. Your smooth registration process is very important to us. Therefore, please read carefully the following important information:

 

1.   ACCEPTING UPM OFFER

  1. The offer of admission is final.
  2. Login to the Postgraduate Application Portal using your former id and password.
  3. If you agree with the offer, click ACCEPT.
  4. To change the programme or field of study, fill in this Application Form (FORM - APPLICATION FOR CHANGING THE PROGRAMME / SEMESTER / ADVISOR) and email to the respective faculty and advisor for support. The complete form should be emailed to pg_admission@upm.edu.my for further action.

  5. If you want to defer, click DEFER and choose your preferred semester to enrol in. However, please take note that our offer is valid only for two (2) semesters.

2.   ONLINE REGISTRATION

UPM will be conducting online registration of new postgraduate students through PutraENROLL via Applicant Portal, which will be open starting from 23 February 2026. PutraENROLL is accessible to candidates who accept an offer or deferred offer to the Second Semester 2025/2026 (March 2026). Candidates are required to complete all sections and upload all required documents into the system. Please read carefully the PutraENROLL User Manual before starting online registration to help you prepare the required documents. You are also advised to refer to the following information related to matters below:

-  Health Examination Requirement 

-  Tuition Fees

Please ensure the tuition fee payment is made and combine the payment receipt with the scholarship offer letter (if any) before uploading the document to PutraENROLL.

Method of Payment:
1. Login PutraENROLL --> Payment.
2. CIMB Bank Branch: 8002155042 (U.P.M COLLECTION)
3. Online Payment through Flywire

UPM will review and endorse all the documents and information within a week. You may check your PutraENROLL from time to time to get the latest registration status. Additionally, you will receive an email notification if any section of your PutraENROLL is rejected or after your matric number has been successfully issued.

  

3.   LATE REGISTRATION

The deadline for late registration, as follows:

-  Programme by coursework: 03 April 2026, 11.59 pm
-  Program by research: 26 June 2026, 11.59 pm

 

Please take note that:

There is no registration of new students for the programme by coursework and by research after the date mentioned above.
