Unaware that corruption is a major sin in Islam.
Lack of understanding of religious teachings on justice and the prohibition of taking others’ rights.
No awareness of the consequences of corruption in the hereafter.
Inconsistent or ineffective legal action.
Corruption still rampant despite the existence of agencies like the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
MACC statistics: 851 cases in 2021 increased to 909 in 2022 – indicates prevention is still insufficient.
Moral values and integrity are not emphasized from a young age.
Families fail to instill anti-corruption values.
Schools and communities do not actively build a culture of honesty and accountability.
