Registration Guidelines for New Postgraduate Students (Local)

	ONLINE REGISTRATION GUIDELINE NEW POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS (LOCAL) THIRD TRIMESTER 2023/2024

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ADMISSION TO UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA!

In the next few weeks, registration for the new students will open. We are excited that you will be part of UPM’s community. Your smooth registration process is very important to us. Therefore, please read carefully the following important information:

1.   ACCEPTING UPM OFFER

1. The offer of admission is final.
2. Login to the Postgraduate Application Portal (http://sgsportal.upm.edu.my:8080/sgsportal/) using your former ID and password.
3. If you agree with the offer, click ACCEPT.
4. To change the programme or field of study:
   Local Applicant: Click ACCEPT and fill up this form and email to pg_admission@upm.edu.my
   
   

   

5. If you want to defer, click DEFER and choose your preferred semester to enrol in. However, please take note that our offer is valid only for three (3) trimesters. 

2.   ONLINE REGISTRATION

UPM will be conducting online registration for new postgraduate students through PutraENROLL. PutraENROLL is accessible to candidates who accept an offer for the Third Trimester 2023/2024. Candidates are required to complete all sections and upload all required documents into the system. Please read carefully the PutraENROLL User Manual before starting online registration to help you prepare the required documents. You are also advised to refer to the following information related to health requirements and tuition fees:

-  Tuition Fees

-  Additional fee for students who receive the following scholarships:
   a) JPA CBBP : RM180.00
   b) JPA PPC: RM600.00
   c) KPT SLAB/SLAI/HLP: RM180.00
   d) KPT MTCP: RM230.00
   e) KPT MIS: RM230.00
   f) KPM: RM180.00
   g) UNIKL: RM600.00

Please make payment to 8002155042 (U.P.M COLLECTION) and combine the receipt with the scholarship offer letter before uploading the combined document to PutraENROLL.

UPM will review and endorse all the documents and information within a week. You may check your PutraENROLL from time to time to get the latest registration status. Additionally, you will receive an email notification if any section of your PutraENROLL is rejected or after your matric number has been successfully issued.

3.   LATE REGISTRATION

New students can register until: 
- Programme by Coursework: 15 March 2024 (11.59 pm on 14 March 2024)
- Programme by Research: 14 June 2024 (11.59 pm on 13 June 2024)

Please take note that:
- There is no registration of new students for the programme by coursework after the date mentioned above.
- Although new students for the programme by research can register until 14 June 2024, there are no courses that can be registered at that time except for research (Master Research (SPS5999) - 6 Credits / Doctoral Research (SPS6999) – 6 Credits)

Therefore, you are also encouraged to register early and always communicate with the advisor.
