SERDANG, 20^TH April 2022 – Ideas that are not shared are like voices without sounds. School of Graduate Studies (SGS) in collaboration with all the faculties/school/institutes in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), has organized the Three Minutes Thesis (3MT) Competition from the 6^th of March till 20^th April 2022. The calling for registration was channeled through all the representatives in faculties/school/institutes on early March to give the time and space for each department to scout as well as train their potential PhD students, as their contestant(s).

An overwhelming response can be seen from this year’s participation with 32 applicants from various departments. The University Heats was conducted on the 11^th of April 2022 with four (4) appointed esteemed judges. A total of 12 finalists made the cut to compete in the University finals on the 20^th of April 2022. A series of briefing and guidance were conducted from time to time to ease the flow of the competition.

The University Finals that were aired live on SGS Facebook page, was adjudicated by three (3) professional judges, each from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Telekom Malaysia (TM) and Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). Three winners were selected for the main prizes and one Peple’s Choice Award Winner was announced at the end of the competition. Congratulations and well done we bid to all the winner and participants that have represented their department of studies with their tremendous research ideas.
