August 28th - 29th, 2024 - The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in collaboration with the University Consortium, successfully hosted the 6th University Consortium Faculty Forum on August 28-29, 2024. Held at the Everly Hotel Putrajaya, this year’s forum focused on the theme: "Resilience and Adaptation Towards Innovation in Climate Crisis."

The event was officiated by Dato' Professor Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice Chancellor of UPM, who underscored the importance of innovative approaches to climate challenges. It brought together 32 distinguished participants from 13 member universities of the University Consortium, creating a dynamic environment for sharing knowledge and forging new academic partnerships. Key discussions centered on innovative solutions for climate resilience and adaptation.

The forum also featured a panel session titled “Impact of Climate Crisis from the ASEAN Perspective,” with notable panelists including Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr. Mad Nasir Shamsudin from the Faculty of Agriculture, UPM; Dr. Glenn B. Gregorio, Director and Chief Executive Officer of SEARCA; and Dr. Mohd Shukri bin Mat Ali @ Ibrahim, Director of the Centre for Agrobiodiversity and Environmental Research at the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI).
