Basic First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Course for SPS Staff
April 10th 2025, Serdang – As part of its commitment to staff well-being and emergency preparedness, the School of Graduate Studies (SPS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) successfully conducted a Basic First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Course for all SPS staff on Thursday, 10 April 2025, from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at the Putra Sarjana Room.
The course was conducted by experienced trainers from the University Health Centre (PKU), namely Ms. Norfazilah Abdullah, Senior Administrative Assistant / BSMM Trainer and Mr. Muhammad A'Thuf bin Azhar, Staff Nurse.


The training began with an introduction to the fundamentals of first aid, followed by practical sessions covering various emergency scenarios including wound care and bleeding, shock and unconsciousness, fractures, and bandaging techniques. The highlight of the session was a hands-on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) module for adults, where participants had the opportunity to practice lifesaving techniques under expert supervision.
The course provided essential knowledge and skills that empower staff to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations. It also reflects SPS's ongoing commitment to fostering a safe, informed, and responsive workplace environment.
