As acquisition of Basic Malay Skill 1 (BBM1401) is crucial for students’ communication and graduation requirement, a 7-day workshop was held to fulfil the purpose. The said event conducted by School of Graduate Studies (SGS), took place from 20^th to 26^th November 2017. The venue was at the Putra Sarjana Room, SGS, UPM and the activity lasted from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

In total there were 20 UPM postgraduate students originating from Kuwait and Libya and the speakers from Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, were: Dr. Norazlina Mohd. Kiram, Dr. Rohaidah Kamaruddin, Dr. Hasnah Mohamad, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arbai’e Sujud. Content wise, the scope of the workshop included Sistem Bunyi Bahasa Melayu, Pernyataan Emosi , Perkongsian Perasaan and many more.
