Organised by the UPM School of Graduate Studies, in collaboration with Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (MTDC), the event was held on September 27th, 2017, at the Putra Sarjana Room 1, School of Graduate Studies.
The objectives of the programme included (a) offering complementary efforts by the host universities in recognising, rewarding and grooming high-achieving students (b) offering additional value to the host universities towards encouraging and rewarding innovative commercial able and “market-led” ideas and products.
In all, two speakers were involved. The first was Mr Ar Jazlan Norman whose presentation centred on the benefits that could be accrued from integrating multi-skill and multi-faceted exposure. An architect by profession, his professional expertise has been much boosted by way of professional affiliation as well as experience garnered worldwide. His company, Jazlan Azmi Architects Sdn. Bhd (JAA), a professional architect company conducts a practice of architecture, planning as well as interior design.
Speaker number two was Puan Wan Sabariah Shuib from Nature Profusion Sdn. Bhd. Her presentation focused on the Manufacturing of Eco-Friendly Antiseptic and Disinfectant Products. Nature Profusion Sdn. Bhd is a spin-off company to commercialise plant and herbal based anti-MRSA technology acquired from Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM).
Participants for the event comprised local and international students from various countries.
The whole event including Question and Answer session (Q & A) started at 2.00 pm and ended at 5.00 pm
