
October 21st, 2024, Serdang – The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), through the Putra Sarjana Learning Support Program, organized a seminar on Real Life Industrial Linkages conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hizmawati Madzin, held in person at the Dewan Seminar, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia.
The seminar aimed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application across various industries. By exploring real-life case studies, collaborations, and initiatives, the speaker provided valuable insights into how educational institutions can closely collaborate with industries to enhance learning experiences and better prepare postgraduate students for the workforce. Participants also had the opportunity to explore the significance of partnerships between educational institutions and industries in enriching academic programs and improving student employability.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hizmawati Madzin addressed common challenges in establishing and maintaining industrial linkages while exploring potential solutions and strategies. The seminar facilitated a platform for participants to connect with industry professionals and academic leaders to foster future collaborations. Additionally, successful case studies of university-industry collaborations were highlighted, showcasing effective models of engagement.
An active Q&A session further proved the seminar's interactive nature and success, with attendees engaging in one-on-one discussions with the guest speaker for deeper understanding. The two-hour seminar concluded at 12:00 noon with a photo session with the speaker.
