September 11th, 2024 - A total of 24 UPM staff participants were selected and qualified for the semifinals of the Senada Putra 16 program out of 41 individuals who attended the auditions on July 10, in conjunction with the Senada Putra 16 program. All the finalists competed and gave their best singing performances on the Senada Putra stage, which took place at the Panggung Percubaan, Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Arts and Cultural Center, on September 11 and 12, 2024 (Wednesday and Thursday).
Among the guest judges on the evaluation day was YBhg. Dato' Mokhzani Ismail, Director of the Music Services Division at RTM. Ten finalists were deemed qualified to advance to the finals, which will be held early next year. SPS staff member Muhammad Irfan Ibrahim was one of those selected to proceed to the final round.
This series of the Senada Putra 16 program focuses on providing a platform for UPM staff from various job backgrounds to express their artistic and cultural talents. It also aims to offer UPM staff the opportunity to showcase their talents and skills in the field of singing.
Additionally, this program is one of PKKSSAAS's initiatives to implement a Work-Life Balance approach to help UPM achieve a balance between work and life, while also helping to improve employee well-being and reduce mental health issues among UPM staff. Through this activity, staff have the opportunity to relieve work-related stress and explore personal interests in a more relaxed setting.
