
Serdang, November 13, 2026 — The School of Graduate Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), received a benchmarking visit from a delegation of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah at 10:00 a.m.
The visit aimed to facilitate the exchange of best practices and to strengthen strategic collaboration in graduate studies management between the two institutions. The UMPSA delegation, comprising academic management and graduate administration officers, was briefed on UPM’s administrative structure, academic management processes, and quality enhancement initiatives implemented by the School of Graduate Studies.


During the session, both parties exchanged views on key aspects of postgraduate management, including monitoring research progress, strengthening academic supervision, and leveraging digital systems in graduate governance. The delegation also participated in an interactive dialogue session to discuss current challenges and potential improvements to ensure more efficient and systematic academic management.
The visit provided an opportunity to enhance professional networking and share institutional experiences in improving research quality and postgraduate employability. The programme concluded with a photography session and a token-of-appreciation presentation to commemorate the visit.
The benchmarking session reflects the ongoing commitment of both universities to strengthen graduate studies governance and advance academic excellence through strategic collaboration among higher education institutions in Malaysia.
