March 23rd, 2023 – 'ChatGPT: An Opportunity to Increase Productivity' sharing session was an initiative by the School of Graduate Studies in introducing the basic knowledge of using ChatGPT to all staffs of the School of Graduate Studies (SGS). This was indeed crucial as the department manages postgraduates that mainly engaged in academic writing and submissions.

Prof. Ts. Dr. Rusli Hj Abdullah, professor from Department of Software Engineering and Information System, Faculty of Computer Science, and Information Technology, UPM was invited as the speaker. His knowledge on the rising concern within the academic field was shared through a PowerPoint slide to all the staffs of SGS. ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022. It has been fine-tuned (an approach to transfer learning) using both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.

The session was conducted in the Meeting Room 1 (BM1) which started at 2.30 pm and ended around 4.45 pm.
