August 15th, 2026, Kuala Nerus, Terengganu– Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) achieved an outstanding accomplishment by securing the Overall First Runner-Up position at the 46th Malaysian Intervarsity Staff Games (SUKUM) 2026, held from 6 to 15 August 2026 at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Terengganu. The achievement reflects the strong commitment, determination and fighting spirit demonstrated by the entire UPM contingent throughout the tournament. The outstanding performance also highlights that UPM’s staff continue to excel not only in academic and professional fields, but also in sports and co-curricular activities.

Warmest congratulations and appreciation are extended to the athletes from the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), UPM, who represented the university in this prestigious sporting event. Cik Shazleen contributed a Silver Medal in Mixed Badminton, while Puan Haslinda secured a Bronze Medal in Futsal. Congratulations are also extended to Encik Israfil, who represented UPM in Bowling and demonstrated strong commitment and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
