Universiti Putra Malaysia School of Graduate Studies has received an award for UPM Workplace Safety Award 2017 under group A category on 26 April 2017 in OSH Hall, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The competition was organised by UPM Occupational Safety and Health Administration and aims to strengthen the awareness of safety, occupational health and working environment and cultivate its culture among the staff at the UPM campus in Serdang, Selangor and UPM Kampus Bintulu, Sarawak. The competition was held in conjunction with the Safety, Occupational Health and Working Environment Month 2017, which was conducted from 4 April to 26 April.
SGS’ OSH team, led by safety and security manager Mr Amiruddin, worked relentlessly to ensure SGS meets all the criteria set by the Executive Committee of Occupational Safety and Health such as preparing fire prevention system and disaster management plan and making sure SGS adheres to environmental quality regulations and occupational safety and health act.
