On 6 December 2021, a Building Evacuation Briefing of the School of Graduate Studies was presented by Ms. Nurnadjla Ahmad Razei as the Emergency Action Committee for the SPS Occupational Safety and Health Committee.

The purpose of this briefing was to introduce the Occupational Safety and Health Committee (JKKP) and the SGS Emergency Response Team Committee (JKERT). In addition, on the constraints of the COVID-19 virus, this briefing is as an alternative to actual (physical) building evacuation drill in the event of any emergency at work. This briefing also aims to provide exposure to staff on the method/plan of evacuation of the building in the event of any emergency at work.

Building Evacuation Procedures

If you hear a fire alarm, please follow the instructions below:

• Stop doing any work immediately;
• Switch off and unplug all nearby electrical sources;
• If you are at the upper floor, move to the nearest staircase and go downstairs;
• Evacuate the occupied area/room;
• Find the nearest safe exit and exit the building.
• Proceed to the designated assembly point.

During the emergency, please:

• Do not panic, run or push others while leaving the building.
• Do not return to collect belongings.
• Do not hide in any area of the building.
