March 24th, 2025, Serdang – In conjunction with the blessed month of Ramadan 1446H, the School of Graduate Studies (SPS), through the SPS Club and in collaboration with the Welfare Club of i-PUTRA as well as the Welfare & Social Club of the Academic and International Administration Office, successfully organised a special religious lecture titled “Ramadan Tarbiah Talk: Nurturing the Self, Strengthening Integrity”.
The spiritually enriching session was held on Monday, 24 March 2025, corresponding to 23 Ramadan 1446H, at the Jurutera Radin Umar Auditorium, Faculty of Engineering, UPM. The event featured a special appearance by the renowned speaker, Ustaz Syamsul Amri bin Ismail, fondly known as Syamsul Debat, who is well-known for his engaging and insightful delivery that combines humour with deep reflections and meaningful messages.

This lecture, themed around character development and the cultivation of integrity, aimed to inspire and remind the UPM community of the importance of self-reflection, sincerity, and ethical values, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. It served as a timely spiritual recharge amidst daily responsibilities, both personal and professional. The programme received an overwhelming response from staff and students across various departments and faculties, reflecting the strong spirit of learning, unity, and spiritual growth that thrives within the UPM community. It also aligns with the university’s mission of nurturing holistic individuals grounded in integrity and moral values.
It is hoped that this meaningful session not only enriches the participants during Ramadan but also continues to spark personal growth and integrity throughout their journey in UPM and beyond.
