Master of Landscape Architecture (Second Semester Intake Only) |
UPM’s Master of Landscape Architecture programme is well established since 1996 and it is also the only MLA programme that is accredited by the Institute of Landscape Architects, Malaysia (ILAM). The MLA programme in UPM is taught by qualified and experienced lecturers from the faculty as well as associate professionals from well established landscape architectural firms within and outside the Klang Valley.

Master of Architecture (First Semester Intake Only) |
Master of Architecture is a 65 credit hours postgraduate programme by coursework. It is a professional degree programme equivalent to the professional qualification of the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) Part II. The programme is a continuation of the LAM Part I qualification, which is currently being addressed in the Bachelor of Science in Architecture programme at UPM. Among the objectives of this programme is to produce architectural graduates who are holistic, competent and highly skilful in the field of architecture which will lead them to career opportunities in design, project management, research, academia and related construction industries. Architectural graduates of the Master of Architecture at UPM will be on the right track to become a registered Professional Architect with the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM). Master of Tropical Urban Design (First Semester Intake Only) |
The Master of Tropical Urban Design (MTUD) is a three-semester program that is designed to provide advance coursework with an emphasis on the tropical and subtropical regions. The program has a strong foundation in ecological, social and economic sustainability as a basis for planning and design. It also emphasizes skills in communication and collaboration with local communities and professional groups. The program employs a combination of studio, lectures, tutorials and regional and local trips. Graduates should find employment in government and private practice. MTUD covers the advance knowledge of the tropical urban design field and the skills of managing urban projects. The aspects include multi-disciplinary urban issues, ethics and professionalism. Students who enroll in the program are required to complete a minimum of 42 credits. The non-design background students need to complete an additional 6 credit basic design courses. Master of Sustainable Landscape Management (first semester intake only) |
The Master of Sustainable Landscape Management (MSLM) is a cross-disciplined in nature with emphasis on landscape sustainability, technology and human well-being reflected in the current national and international thinking. Its aim to equip students with the theoretical, technical, professional skills and knowledge in sustainable landscape management and maintenance, landscape ecology, environmental technology, law, risk management and economy. The MSLM program is designed to provide opportunities for students to independently acquire knowledge and professional skills pertaining to their future careers.
