Serdang, February 11th, 2026 — The School of Graduate Studies (SGS), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), organised the SGS–Faculty Engagement Programme (Series 1/2026) on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, with the participation of more than 80 officers directly involved in graduate studies management at their respective Responsibility Centres (PTJ). The programme, held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., was organised with three main objectives: to enhance the understanding of officers and implementers responsible for graduate-related matters at the PTJ level so that accurate information can be conveyed within their respective centres; to provide a platform for professional networking while sharing best practices among PTJs; and to offer an opportunity for SGS officers to obtain feedback and input from PTJs for the continuous improvement of graduate management processes.

The morning session, held at Mini Auditorium 1, Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), focused on a briefing on the Graduate Studies Management Process at UPM. The afternoon session continued with a Consultation and Question-and-Answer Session with SGS Graduate Officers at the Smart Classroom, Central Academic Lecture Hall (DKAP). This session provided participants with the opportunity to raise questions, discuss emerging issues, and obtain direct clarification from SGS officers.

Officers from UPM Sarawak and I-AQUAS UPM Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, also participated online to ensure inclusive participation. The organisation of this programme reflects SGS’s ongoing commitment to strengthening graduate studies governance and enhancing strategic collaboration between SGS and PTJs to ensure more efficient, systematic, and impactful academic management at UPM.
