As more Covid-19 cases are recorded, the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia recommends all higher education institutions postpone their physical registration of new and old students at the campus. Following the statements, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through School of Graduate Studies (SGS) had successfully conducted an online registration for the new postgraduate students for the First Semester 2020/2021 starting 5 October 2020 until 16 October 2020. An online registration system has been developed by Infocomm Development Centre (iDEC) named PutraEnroll. The summary of online registration as follows:

New local and international postgraduate students are required to complete online registration via the link http://sgsportal.upm.edu.my:8080/sgsportal. Orientation for all new postgraduate students will also be conducted virtually. Information related to course registration and the conduct of virtual classes will be provided during the orientation.
All teaching and learning activities for new and returning students in the first Semester 2020/2021 academic session will be conducted virtually from 19 October 2020 onwards until further notice. However, postgraduate students will be allowed to hold face to face meetings with their supervisors and conduct research work in the laboratory or at the field provided all SOPs issued by the faculty/ school/institute are adhered to.
