July 18, 2024, Serdang – The Graduate School (SGS) underwent the Second Level Evaluation Session for the Workplace Environment Quality Award (EKSA) in conjunction with the 2023/2024 Quality and Innovation Day (HKIP). Mrs. Marziati Md Din from the Internal Audit Department of UPM and Mrs. Mahani Amat @ Halimi from the University Community Transformation Centre (UCTC) were appointed as auditors to carry out the evaluation at SPS. The audit opening session began with an introductory speech by the Deputy Registrar of SGS, Mrs. Norhasliza Hassan, followed by a presentation on current EKSA practices at SGS by the EKSA SGS coordinator, Mrs. Nur Nadiah Abdul Rahman.

The auditors were then taken around the SPS building for the evaluation process in all zones, including officers' rooms, offices/counters, and common areas. Various questions were raised regarding current practices and improvements made by the department to embed EKSA objectives. The Person in Charge (PYB) appointed for each room or area also shared and presented the EKSA practices implemented in their respective rooms or spaces.

The two-hour evaluation process concluded with a feedback session from the auditors with the SPS EKSA Committee in Meeting Room 1. The auditors shared various ideas and views for SPS members to consider for future EKSA practice improvements. Small tokens of appreciation were presented to the auditors, and a photo session was held for remembrance.
