UPM-AJOU DUAL MASTER OF SCIENCE PROGRAMME

The DDP with Ajou is the Dual Master of Science (in the field of Computer Science). This is a Master’s degree programme developed and quality assured by both UPM and Ajou. Upon completion of the DDP, students will be awarded two certificates, one from UPM and one from Ajou University.

How long does it take to complete the programme?

The programme may take between 2 to 3 years (or 4 to 6 semesters) to complete. You are required to spend at least one year (12 months) at each institution.

What are the benefits?

The opportunity to work under the guidance of academics from both institutions is one that enhances and enriches the postgraduate experience. Students will especially gain from Ajou’s academic and research culture, and top-notch facilities. The cost of gaining an overseas experience through this programme is also much lower compared to what it would cost to enrol on a typical Master’s programme overseas.

How much is the processing fee and how do I pay?

The processing fee for international students is USD63.60 (or equivalent). For local applicants, the processing fee is MYR63.60.

What are the entry requirements?

If you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent, and have achieved a CGPA of at least 2.750 from UPM or other universities recognised by UPM, then you are eligible for the programme.

If your CGPA is lower than 2.750, you may still be considered for the programme provided that you have at least three years working experience, and have done research and also published in the area.

You are also required to fulfil the minimum English language requirement as the medium of instruction for the programme at Ajou is English. You need to obtain at least Band 6.0 for IELTS (minimum 5 for each component), or 550 (paper-based) /213 (computer-based)/79 (Internet-based) for TOEFL.
