Postgraduate Data Management

To ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of postgraduate data, its management is centralized under the General Dean’s Office, School of Graduate Studies.

All data requests must be submitted following the prescribed procedures, and applicants are fully responsible for ensuring that the data obtained is used lawfully and in compliance with the university's policies.

Types of Data

Statistical Data – Data in summarized numerical form
Listed Data – Raw (non-statistical) data, which includes students' credentials and confidential information.

Application Procedures

1. For statistical data:

Applicants must complete the official request form at the following link: Data Application Form

2. For listed data:

Step 1:

Applicants must first obtain approval from the Centre for Corporate Strategy and Relations (PSPK). Refer to the Garis Panduan Pengurusan Data Strategik UPM dan Garis Panduan Permohonan Maklumat Rasmi UPM (Appendix 2(a) and 2(b)) as announced by PSPK via INFO UPM on 3 January 2024 (accessible on the PSPK Website – Download Section).

Step 2:

Once approval from PSPK is obtained, applicants must complete the application form at the following link: Data Application Form and upload Borang Aku Janji, which was submitted to PSPK.

Processing Period

Once the application is approved, data will be processed and provided within:

Two (2) working days for standard data requests.
Five (5) working days for complex data requests.

Any issues related to the application will be communicated to the applicant via email.
